Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, James Sanderson made his way to Texas via the Sunset School of Preaching. He met his wife Amy at a Bible study, and together they have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.

James became the Evangelism Minister at Brown Street in 2020, and became the Chaplain for the Waxahachie Police Department the same year. A self-proclaimed “preacher teacher” James has a special way of making the Bible engaging and relatable for all ages. He shares all of his lessons on his YouTube channel, Saving Souls in the 21st Century or via his website of the same name.

His favorite passage is Hebrews 12:2-3, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of faith. For the joy set before Him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”
